After initially offering a fusion of the Malabar region’s Moplah and Thiyya Cuisines, the master chefs at Paragon have ceaselessly innovated to transform the cuisine over the years. Sumesh Govind, CEO & Culinary Composer, is the present proprietor of Paragon Group of Restaurants and continues the tradition set by his grandfather Mr. P. M. Govindan who founded Paragon Restaurant, after he retired from the Railways, and his son Mr P. M. Valsan. Though Mr Govindan was a government official, his passion for food that set him apart.

As the CEO of Paragon Group of Restaurants, he has taken the group to new heights and introduced the world to many new flavours. His artistic approach, where he involves himself in every process, has made him a wizard at growing the business and a mad, flavour-genius in the kitchen.

He has a way with flavours that’s a little mystical, and a little magical. Flavours speak to him and inspire him to create and innovate. He shares his personal experiments in the kitchen and his epiphanies with his team of chefs who take his intuition forward to create the menu that is nothing short of pages full of wonders.

Today, under his mentorship, Paragon boasts of a commanding presence in Asia, along with their extended chain of businesses such as Salkara Restaurant, M-Grill Restaurant, and Brown Town Bakery. More outlets of Paragon are in the pipeline at places like New York and Amsterdam.
